Scott Architecture + Design Works

Founded on the guiding principle of "Modernity in a Place of Tradition", Scott Architecture + Design Works is a southern Maine based architecture and design studio serving the Seacoast areas of New Hampshire and Maine as well as Southern California. Our work is rooted in our commitment to providing modern craft, clear design intent and honesty in material and form to deliver the best possible projects to our clients. 

Prior to founding SADworks, Samuel Scott worked in San Diego with Safdie Rabines Architects where he was a key member of the design team of the Sellwood Bridge replacement project in Portland, Oregon the Lusail Pedestrian Bridges project in Doha, Qatar, several residential projects and the Structural Materials Engineering Building at the University of California San Diego (in partnership with Miller Hull). 

Samuel also spent significant time with the office of Architect / Developer / Builder - Jonathan Segal, FAIA as a designer where he was required to multitask multiple roles to facilitate in the design and development of Mixed Use, architect initiated and architect funded projects.

Scott Architecture + Design Works provides Professional Architecture and Design services for residential (single family & Multifamily), commericial, civic / infrastructure projects and development. In addition to these services we also offer assitance with proforma analysis for development projects of any size.

Who We Are

Samuel Scott, R.A.
Samuel is a Graduate of Woodbury University School of Architecture, San Diego. He is NCARB certified and is a Registered Architect in the state of Maine, where he resides with his wife and two sons, since relocating from San Diego.
